An Inspirational Story
A young and aspiring artist went to a newspaper editor and asked if there were any jobs available. The editor viewed the work of the artist and turned him down. The artist was told he had no talent.
Although despondent he kept drawing. He sat in his father's garage for hours at a time scribbling away. One evening he watched as a little mouse scurried across the floor. The mouse's antics lifted the young artist's mood giving him the inspiration to keep on drawing. The little mouse began visiting every day and in exchange for a few titbits the young artist found a supportive 'friend'.
As time went by the young man tried again and again to find work as an artist but failed at every turn. As he sat one day in the cold, shabby room he was renting, dejected and despairing he remembered the little mouse and began to sketch. These sketches were to be the key to his ultimate success.
Who was he? That young artist who was told he had no talent was the famous cartoonist Walt Disney. And the little mouse? Well, Mickey Mouse of course!
If Walt Disney had given up and not persevered with his dream, millions of us would have been denied the wonderful world of fantasy that he went on to create.
Each time you try and fail, you are one step closer to possible success. Believe in yourself and success will always be yours.
